The monthly general SIBA meeting that occurs the third Thursday of each month. Check the specific date to get the meeting topic.
Jason Morgan will demonstrate how to make a candy board that can offer some peace of mind over the winter... especially if you think your hive is really low on honey stores. The candy board will be raffled off after the meeting.
If you are inspired to make candy boards after the November meeting, that following Saturday workshop would be a good opportunity to come and make some candy boards. Bring your materials, and your safety glasses and we'll help you from there!
We're looking at Saturday December 9th (the second Saturday in December) for the SIBA Christmas party. Keep an eye out for details, but in the past, we typically start at 6pm and everyone brings a dish, appetizer or dessert to put on the table!
Garry Reeves will present equipment repair in December. Winter is the best time to repair old equipment or build new based on your goals for the 2018 bee season. See you there!
Karen Ferguson will talk about taking notes and logs for each hive. Paying attention to what's going on in each hive is one thing, writing it down in a way that you can remember it is another. The December, January, February and March meetings will be held at the Moores Hill Senior Center.
