Jeff Montag returns in March to run the topic of "Swarm Construction and Logistics" and will base his presentation on Tom Seeley’s book; Honeybee Democracy.

While this discussion will provide some insight on the topic of swarms, it IS NOT about swarm prevention, but rather; the miraculous what, why and how of the Honeybee swarm.

• Swarm purpose.
• How the bees determine when it’s time to swarm.
• The make-up of a normal spring swarm.
• The logistics involved in the swarm process.

By gaining a better understanding of swarms and swarming, you will become better at your management and control.

SIBA Meetings occur the 3rd Thursday of each month through the year with topics being added to the event ahead of each meeting.
